DRIVER SPOTLIGHT: JIM JOHNS

49 Years on the Road. A Reputation Built Mile by Mile.

Medallion Transport & Logistics is proud to recognize Jim Johns, a veteran driver for one of our longtime freight agents, whose professionalism, expertise and reliability have earned him tremendous respect throughout his 49 years on the road.

Jim has built a reputation that extends far beyond safely delivering freight. On a recent delivery, a customer surprised Jim with a special plaque recognizing his years of outstanding service, knowledge and dedication.

The recognition was something the customer had never done before for any driver.

Knowing Jim would be arriving that morning, members of the shipping and loading teams gathered to surprise him. Three plaques were created—one for Jim, one to remain in the shipping office and another for the loading department—a lasting tribute to the impact he has made at their facility.

Over the years, Jim has become their go-to driver for specialized and important loads. His decades of experience mean he often knows the equipment he transports as well as the people loading it. When the customer expanded into new technology and equipment, Jim’s expertise was even called upon to provide insight into crating, loading and transportation requirements.

Today, he is regarded as a leader and a trusted set of “eyes and ears” at the facility—someone whose knowledge and experience are respected throughout the operation.

That same professionalism is reflected in the way Jim runs his business. He regularly updates his truck and equipment, maintaining everything to an exceptional standard and keeping his equipment show-ready. For Jim, professionalism isn’t just about getting a load from Point A to Point B. It’s reflected in everything he does.

Medallion Transport & Logistics CEO Gary Weilheimer shared:

“We want to recognize Jim for his value, expertise and reliability. He knows what he is doing as both an operator and a businessman, and he has earned that respect from major companies he serves.”

This recognition represents something special—not only for Jim, but for everyone at Medallion.

Jim is a role model for the professional men and women who represent our company every day. His 49-year career demonstrates what can be achieved through experience, consistency, pride in your equipment and an unwavering commitment to doing the job right.

Jim is truly a legend, and we couldn’t be prouder to have him representing Medallion.

Congratulations, Jim, on an honor very well deserved.
