The National Weather Services offices of Kansas City, Springfield and St. Louis, Mo., and of Paducah, Ky., advise that strong winds are expected Wednesday, March 13 and Thursday, March 14 throughout Missouri. MoDOT issued a state-wide wind advisory.

Soaking rains have softened the soil in much of the state, so drivers should also be aware that gusts could uproot trees. If you encounter a tree blocking a road, call 911 or *55 to report the location. Watch for emergency crews.

MoDOT asks all drivers to be extra-alert. Please check weather conditions regularly as blizzard, thunderstorm, high wind and flooding conditions are expected throughout the nation’s midsection.
